Meet the Executive Council
Chapter Advisers
The CHS Chapter of FCCLA has four chapter advisers, each Family & Consumer Sciences teachers at Cookeville High School. Mrs. Rawls, Mrs. Ross, Mrs. Wakefield, and Mrs. Zellner (pictured from left to right) are committed to the success of the chapter and work hard to ensure students have a rewarding and enjoyable experience in FCCLA.
Chapter President, Dayna Walters, 12th Grade
Dayna is serving in her second leadership role as this year's chapter President. Last year she was the chapter's Treasurer. Leadership is nothing to new Dayna since she has been a member of FCCLA for four years.
During last year's STAR Events Dayna received a Silver Award in the Recycle Redesign event by constructing a lampshade out of coat hangers, a keyring, and an old tank top. Her resourcefulness will no doubt be one of the many traits Dayna will utilize to be successful in her role as President this year.
Dayna believes one of the greatest things FCCLA can do for its members is provide them opportunities to meet new people and develop leadership skills. "It is truly the ultimate leadership experience!"

Chapter Vice President, Savannah Howard, 12th Grade
Savannah is beginning her third year in FCCLA. She has formerly served as the chapter's secretary and is looking forward to working with the Executive Council and chapter in her new role as Vice President.
In addition to being on the Executive Council, Savannah is a Culinary Arts competitor for STAR Events. She is looking forward to being the only Culinary 3 competitor on the team this year which means her experience and expertise will make her the natural leader during the competition.
As a leader in FCCLA, Savannah believes her greatest strength is her ability to "get the job done" even if it means she has to sacrifice personal time and activities. She is an extremely dedicated leader and is looking forward to all the opportunities FCCLA will provide her this school year.

Chapter Service Chair, Makayla Clark, 11th Grade
Since her freshman year, Makayla has been making her mark on CHS FCCLA. As last year's Vice President, Makayla brings great experience and leadership to the office of Service Chair.
As a first-time competitor her freshman year, Makayla received 1st place Gold at both District and State STAR Events for her entry in the Life Event Planning category. Last year she competed in the Chapter Service Project Manual event to showcase the successful Coat Drive she organized for her community.
Makayla is most looking forward to making new memories and developing long-lasting relationships through FCCLA this year.

Chapter Secretary, Victoria Rittenberry, 11th Grade
Victoria is beginning her 3rd year in FCCLA and serving her 2nd term as a member of the Executive Council. Previously she was the chapter's Service Chair and is looking forward to keeping the chapter organized and on top of things as the new Secretary.
Although Victoria has never been a STAR Events competitor she is looking forward to competing for the first time this year at District STAR Events in the spring.
For Victoria the service opportunities FCCLA provides for its members is one of the greatest reasons students should join FCCLA and she looks forward to all the service projects the chapter has planned for the upcoming school year.

Chapter Treasurer, Katlyn Dietz, 11th Grade
A newcomer to leadership is Katlyn, this year's Treasurer. Last year was Katlyn's first year in FCCLA and she was a great member who participated regularly in chapter projects and events.
Katlyn's desire to step out of her comfort zone and be a leader will no doubt help her encourage other members to do the same and experience leadership FCCLA-style.
As a member of the Executive Council Katlyn believes her greatest strength is her ability to recognize when she is not being as successful as possible and letting other officers help her. She is a team player and will be an asset to the Executive Council and the chapter as she strives to be the best first-time leader she can be.
